2-2 Slope of a line

CCSS:  8.EE.5

Critical Background Knowledge- Students should know how to graph points and understand the concept of rate of change.

Content Objective: I can graph proportional relationships and interpret the unit rate as the slope.  I can compare different  proportional relationships represented as situations, graphs or equations.  

Language Objective: I can define linear equation, solutions, domain, range, rate of change, rise and run,  positive and negative slope.  

Essential Question: What patterns do we see in life where one variable impacts another variable?
